I empower players and their families to successfully navigate the complexities of the sport and maximize their full potential on and off the court

Over the last 30 years I have worked on nearly every side of the basketball industry’s fence which has given me a front row seat to seeing how confusing and at times terrifying the player transition from college to the professional ranks can be.

I decided to become a certified NBA & FIBA agent so that I could help young men and their families navigate these murky and oftentimes treacherous waters as they look to start their professional careers. I’ve learned a ton and here is how I can help you; I want to walk you through the dos and don’ts and the question and answers as it relates to selecting an agent, learning about the transition to the professional ranks and what to expect in your rookie year and beyond.

My mission is to teach you how to educate yourself and make sure to take the proper steps at each and every phase of your career.

About Ronnie

Over the last 30 years, I’ve delivered results in nearly every aspect of the basketball industry, from scouting players and evaluating talent, securing athlete endorsements to selling major corporate sponsorships and developing basketball brands. I started my career with the New York Knicks in basketball operations scouting collegiate talent and creating their first ever overnight camp and Pro Summer League.

In 1994 I joined the team at Harris Publications, investing 15 years conceptualizing, developing, and building SLAM Magazine into the basketball bible that it is today. That experience led me to build XXL Magazine, which became the NO. 1 selling hip-hop magazine worldwide.

In 2009 I joined the NBA as the Vice President of Marketing Partnerships and Brand Development, launching iHoops, a joint youth basketball initiative with the NCAA. As a sports marketing professional/expert I led the development, brand identity, and marketing partnerships with brands like Nike, Adidas, Right Guard, Spalding, and others.

As the president of Clutch Media & Marketing, I led the sports marketing, publishing, TV production and media relations initiatives for colleges/universities, conferences, apparel, beverage, and footwear brands, including numerous Fortune 500 companies.

I founded RZA Sports in 2016 and represent professional basketball players globally, leveraging my varied experience which touches every aspect of the game.
